Join me on this 30-day Personal Growth Reset!
September is here! The month in-between cozy sweaters, pumpkin spice lates, and apple cider breweries. This transition gives you a new start and fresh beginning to recalibrate your internal process. For the next 30 days I encourage you to follow this 30 day personal growth reset that will begin to re-shape those habits that are no longer serving you!
30-day Personal Growth Reset:
Join me over the next 30 days to reevaluate and recalibrate your reality with an introspective, hands-on daily exercise in this 30 day personal growth reset.
Day 1: Self Reflect on your goals:
You can do this on your commute to work, or stop by a park on your way home, buy yourself a scone and a cup of coffee and find an empty bench. Just think to yourself what you want. Not what your family wants, not what society says is “good for you..” but what calls to you. That light bulb that goes off when you see a movie of a women living the role you wish was yours.
Day 2: Create a vision board:
Schedule a date-night with yourself. If at all possible, see if you can get the house to yourself for an hour or so. Collect some poster-boards, glue, scissors and magazines. Make yourself a fun cocktail, pour a glass of wine, or brew a delicious cup of your favorite tea.. Light your favorite scent, put on a playlist of beautiful music and begin to find images that make you feel apart of yourself. Watch your inner soul come alive!
Day 3: Journal about your day:
Thought about journaling but never got around to it? Well now is your time to let your inner writer shine! Blank note on your phone, a beautiful empty leather bound book ,or composition you have lying around the house. Date the top and get writing! Five minutes is all you need to let your mind unravel onto the pages and feel the magic of free writing!
Day 4: Self Reflect on your accomplishments:
We forget, the time we wrote that speech for our boss, or solved that problem for our neighbor. We overlook the article we wrote for our local paper on spring wedding flowers, or that feature we gave on your grandmas famous apple pie. These little moments are not so little at all. In fact, they are monstrous, wonderful stories that make up the beautiful chapters of our lives! Remember them. Remember that you ARE a living outcome of them. And you are extraordinary because of it.
Day 5: Asses the challenges that stand in your way:
There is a shadow in the mirror you have been avoiding to look at for far too long! It’s time to face your shadow and find a way to live with it. I am of course referring to the challenges in your life you KNOW are there but are blatantly ignoring! Face them. You have the ability to over come them. Believe it!
Day 6: Wellness check:
An absolute non-negotiable in this 30 day personal growth reset. How are you feeling these days? Are you drowsy? Tired? Lacking energy? Do you get outdoors daily or move your body in any way? Productivity starts inside.
Day 7: Optimism check:
It is not delusional to be optimistic. It is a perspective and character choice made by YOU of how in which you wish to live your life. Do you see yourself capable, able, and deserving of living more than you are right now? This is critical if you want to make any radical change.
Day 8: Social Media Detox:
The ebb and flow of cultural influence technology has now presented herself to us with. There are so many beautiful opportunities and advantages that technology and social media has added to our lives. (Those in which I will save for another post!) But it has also become an escape from facing our troubles. Limit your social media consumption for today. See how much better you feel because of it!
Day 9: Read 50 pages:
There is indisputable power to concentrated focus. And reading is the best hobby we can do for our brains to practice this. Fancy romance? I have fallen in love with the many works of Santa Montefiore. Looking for good non-fiction to structure your mind and inspire you to take action? Braving the Wilderness by Brene Brown is my recent recommendation for this. Whatever you prefer, push yourself today to read 50 full pages.

Day 10: Journal an interesting event that happened:
Notice that old couple you saw, having a picnic in the park. You felt the love and care these people had for each other without even knowing their names. Observation is our greatest skill. Learn to use it more often, and today I encourage you to write an event down in your journal.
Day 11: 5-minute meditation
This underrated but highly effective personal growth tool that is pure magic! A moment to silence the noise and enter the present moment. With no expectation to answer a question or even have a thought. Just for 5 minutes! That is all for today.
Day 12: Night time stretch
For 10-minutes before bed tonight, gently stretch your body. Invert your legs up a wall, lay in downward dog, rotate your legs from side to side and alternative between the butterfly. Opening your hips, relieving your back not only feels sensational but it helps remove all the stresses of the day.
Day 13: Hydrate
Made up of 60% water, it’s no wonder why humans need it to maintain their vitality. Today, consciously drink half of your body weight of water in ounces.

Day 14: Venture somewhere new
That quaint town you’ve had on your list but never got around to? Today is that day! Take note of the difference in people, the way the town makes you feel. Write about it if you wish. Enjoy what this moment gives you.
Day 15: Make a Happy Mood Playlist
The power of music is understated. French Romantic writer Victor Hugo says: “Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent.” It is the only universal language in which we all speak without the need for words.
Day 16: Get out of your comfort zone
Today, I encourage you to push yourself out of your comfort place at least once. Make that phone call to inquire about your product idea, go on that blind date. Build your tolerance to discomfort and grow stronger by making this a priority today.
Day 17: De-Clutter
Choose an area of your home, a closet in your bedroom, or even your daily purse. Empty it entirely, throw away what its no longer usable, donate what you no longer need, and organize what is left. Organizing does wondrous things for the psyche.

Day 18: Practicing positivity.
Yes, I said practice. Because for some, positive self talk doesn’t come natural in the beginning. Today, I encourage you to make it a non-negotiable to speak and reflect positively about yourself.
Day 19: Read 50 more pages
That incredible book you started reading but haven’t again since day 9? Make progress! Think of how great it will feel when you have finished reading an entire book!
Day 20: Go for a 30-minute walk
Put on your happy playlist you made a few days ago and go for a walk around your neighborhood! Drive yourself to the beach if you are feeling up to it and walk along the shore, possibly at sunset. Feel the joys and simple splendor of walking in nature.
Day 21: Social Media Ban
Similar to the limit we did a few weeks ago, but instead go for a full 24-hour ban. I’ve included some sources explaining the medical benefits of doing so below.

Day 22: Write down goals for 1 month:
Short term is critical for accomplishment in real time. Write down your goals for the 1 month, and break them up weekly. Ask yourself this question: For the next 30 days, what is it I wish to accomplish?
Day 23: Write down goals for 1 year:
Setting the big picture is of course, the most important to have a plan that you can aim to follow. For goal setting and getting, write down all the things you would like to accomplish 1 year from today. Be detailed!
Day 24: Solo day trip
This is better with some planning so be sure to have prepared all your accounts and affairs before hand. Grab your pre-packed hiking bag, hop in your car with a full tank of gas, and drive up to the mountains! Opt for the scenic route, stop for pictures along the way, bring your journal, do what you like! It’s your day!
Day 25: Read 50 more pages
If you keep reading at this rate, you’ll have read a mountain books by the end of the year! Such an incredible accomplishment!
Day 26: Journal something interesting that happened
Tell me about the divorce of the women at the nail salon. What lessons did you learn from her? There is every answer to our questions out there in the world, if we are open to listening.
Day 27: 10 minute bed time stretch
Learn to love your body and it will reward you tenfold! We love our bodies by feeding it nourishing foods and moving it daily. Stagnant body blocks the energy from moving freely to and from us.
Day 28: Try a new hobby
Get outside of your wheel house and go for the paint night. Sign up for a yoga session. Try rock climbing with a friend. Exploring new things is inspiring and re-activates dead parts of our brain that spark creativity!

Day 29: Learn about 1 new topic that interest you
Ever heard about quantum mechanics? Curious about the world of aerospace? Know about nuclear energy but not really sure how it works? Today is your time to learn as much as you can! Read blogs, watch videos, listen to podcast. Enjoy this day of education!
Day 30: Go for 45-minute walk
Show up for yourself. Honor your body and tell the universe that you are willing to put the work in for change. Put on some happy music and go for a long walk today!
I do hope you join me this month on this 30 day personal growth reset! The point here is to keep the task small and simple, but something that begins to build better habits. And over time, if done consistently, will compound building abetter version of yourself!
